My wonderful bridesmaids revealed the bachelorette weekend location: San Francisco! Representing the whole bridal party, Lanie & Des came to my work and delivered flowers and a cake. It was so sweet and very surprising!

I love them! I’m excited!

Wow! It’s been a year since he has proposed! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun.  It’s been a crazy ride and I can’t wait for the future with my main squeeze.  I just want to thank everyone who has always been there for the both of us and we are so excited for our upcoming wedding!

I know its so cliché to say but I’m truly blessed to have found someone like Pat.  My cousin, Jeremey, was right about one thing.. he knew the first guy I date, will be THE one.  He knows me too well.  I guess it’s true when they say “good things come to those who wait.”

Enough of the mushy stuff.  Happy New Year’s to everyone and I wish you all the best this year.  I know it’s just getting better and better..

Target. Our favorite store. The store where you leave with 15 unplanned items on your shopping list. This is what we ended up buying last February:

Props to the Fiance for the idea.  He had spotted these at the dollar spot and suggested to use these as our Save The Dates.  But we would have to buy ~150 of them!  So, there goes that plan.  The following day, my light switched turned on and thought this would be perfect for our engagement party invites. So I rushed to a couple of Targets in San Diego, Escondido, & Vista, while my mom grabbed some in her area.  This worked out since our engagement party was planned for family and the wedding party only.

We L-O-V-E Disney/Pixar’s UP!

Our one year anniversary (July 2009), I made him “Our Adventure Book” with events we’ve shared in the first year of dating and for future times

Valentine’s Day 2010, I made him the mailbox from the movie with his gift inside.

/DIY engagement invitations/

  • Mailboxes: We bought Clear Full Sheet Labels to print the design for the mailbox.
  • Engagement Pictures: Bauman Photographers
  • Invitations: Pear Tree Greetings
  • Invitation Envelopes:  We printed the image of the “Up” house at the top of Paradise Falls on the clear labels. Cut them to create stamps. After sticking the stamps on the envelopes, we printed a postmark stamp with the date of the Engagement Party.

We were both really happy with the outcome.  We set the bar pretty high for our actual wedding invitations. I don’t think it can top these!!

Hello world! I decided to start blogging again but this time to ramble about the planning process for my upcoming wedding and other things I have going on.  A co-worker of mine just had her daughter’s wedding last month and realized how fast time flies when you’re caught up in the middle of the craziness in planning a wedding.  So it will be nice to look back and reminisce on the days that lead up our big day! 🙂

He popped the question on December 31, 2010 at my family’s New Years Eve party.  Here is the background on what we were watching: My cousin Remel (Life Over the Shoulders) made a video with each of my family members saying what their Favorite Memory of 2010 was & New Years Resolution for 2011 (the pop-out screens you see that’s fast forwarded in the beginning of the video). At the end of the video, Patrick comes back changing his Favorite Memory to New Years Eve because that’s when we get engaged. And then he proposes ♥ Here is the video:

Since the day we got engaged, we have been researching and planning.  Where do you start, right?!?  I had no clue! So, I went straight to magazine isles of every store we happen to go to and grabbed every bridal magazine they sold. And of course, the internet.  I signed up for an account on The Knot and from there it’s been going good…
